The Irn Bru Carnival.

We decided Yesterday was the day we where taking the kids to the IrnBru carnival.  The weather was shocking BUT after checking the trains several times we decided to go for it as we would be under cover most of the time.
The teenager was allowed to bring her friend Red ( to keep the kids friends anonymous I shall be calling them by the colour of the hair). Red is one of the teenagers best friends and partner in crime.  they are both going to see 1 direction in January, but that is a whole other story.
We meet the hubby from work at 5 pm and go for some chips to eat on the train.  the guys in the chippie where sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow, I honestly thought we would miss the train.  we made the train and the chips where worth the wait .
We gets to the carnival and just outside is the sign that tells you what events are coming up.  You should have heard the teenager and Red just because they saw 1Directions name.  They screamed.
We pay and get out hand stamped and finally we are in the carnival.  you should have seen the child's face.  it was a picture, this was her first visit to the carnival EVER.
The teenager, red and the boy wandered off to do there own thing.  Hubby and I took the child.  she wanted to go on everything at once but settled for the merry-go round first, the the tea cups, then a water shooting game, then the catch a duck, then the catipillar roller-coaster then......... you get the picture.

The only problem going to a fair with a 3 year old is hubby and I do get to go on many of the rides, I thought that since the teenager and red where there with us maybe they could either keep and eye on the child or go on some of the rides with me or the hubby.  WRONG
There was a  ride called the frog and the teenager and Red seemed to like it or was it the young boy  who worked there that was the attraction............
Hubby and I finally managed to get the kids to keep an eye on the child so we could go on what looked like a  white knuckle ride.  lets just say it looked better than it was.

On the way out the teenager and Red decided they needed a picture of 1 direction flashing up on the whats on screen.  now that the carnival there are loads of security what a laugh they had watching the teenager and red trying to get this photo.  I do hope that we see them all again when the girls go to the concert now that would be funny.

Did i also mention that is was an old firm game last night ( celtic V Rangers) and celtic won.  woohoo

The cello tape roller-coaster

All that money we spend on christmas, all those new toys for the child and today she found a roll of cellotape and made a rollercoaster with it on the kitchen floor.  The child called it a roller coaster, to me it just looked like a whole load of cello tape stuck all over the kitchen floor, but it kept her amused for all of 10 mins.

The teenager asked to go to the Carnival with her friend tomorow but we are planning on going as a family so we said her friend could come with us. the teenager texted her friend to say that her friends mum could drop her off at ours when she was going to the carnival, the teenager then asked me if it was the right direction.  The teenager has been there loads of times for lots of different things.  ( carnival, concerts and we need to walk by it to go to the science centre).  I do often wonder about the teenager.

The boy got a new xbox game yesterday so I have hardly seen him apart from the 10 mins he spent trying to find some xbox game him and the hubby share, what a mess he made, seemed like discs where flying in all directions.

Hubby and the child are now cuddled up on the couch reading the childs new book that santa brought her.
